Although I love the instant quality of digital photography, I still think it falls short of slide film's ability to capture a wide contrast range, as well as failing to deliver the color vibrancy that film captures under challenging lighting conditions.

Under softer lighting conditions the digital sensors seem to work quite well at accurately reproducing what is before my eyes, which for me is just as critical as resolution.
